National Organics, which owns the food brand Bunalun, was acquired last week in a tasty multi-million-euro deal. The company was co-founded by Kieran Dunne in 1999. It was the first deal sealed by investment fund Bellingham Capital.

National Organics, the owner of the Bunalun organic foods brand, has been sold to Louth firm Bellingham Capital (Bell- Cap) for an undisclosed sum Headquartered in Bray, Bunalun helped National Organics achieve revenues of around €22m last year. Kieran Dunne, the company’s co-founder, will continue in his role as managing director. Part of the Bellingham Group, BelICap is an investment fund founded by Mark Goodman in 2021. Its focus is to invest in the areas of agri-business, the food industry, renewable projects across Ireland and the UK.
